About Us

	On February 11, 2012 we have been named 2011 GROOMERS OF THE YEAR at the 57th Annual Annual Purina® Pro Plan®Show Dogs of the Year® Awards presented by Dogs In Review®, in New York City. PaRay has bred over 100 bichon champions! Sires and dams bred or owned by PaRay have produced over 300 champions. We have owned or bred 14 Register of Merit/Register of Merit Excellent sires and dams. Our greatest accomplishments would include "Rumor" being the top-winning breeder/owner-handled Non-Sporting dog of all time. Next, would be Ch. PaRay's I Told You So becoming the top Non-Sporting dog in America, then going to England to become the first American-bred import to win the Group at Crufts. His becoming the Top Dog in 2004 and the top-winning Bichon in breed history in England is icing on the cake!

We have been fortunate to win the Bichon Frise Club of America's National Specialty on three occasions, with "Rumor", "Buster" and "Porter".

Am. Can. Ch. Sterling Rumor Has It ROMX, "Rumor", is the bichon who brought us together as PaRay (Paul Flores and Tray Pittman). “Rumor” was the number one bichon in both breed and all-breed competition from 1996 to 1998. He has produced 63 champions and from 1998 to 2000 “Rumor” was the BFCA Sire of the Year.

Rumor sired Am. and English Ch. PaRay's I Told You So" ( "Buster"), 2002’s top bichon. “Rumor” is the grandsire of Am. Can. Ch. PaRay’s Provocative (“Ryland”), the 2001 National Specialty Best of Winners. “Ryland” sired BIS/BISS Ch. PaRay’s Propaganda, (“Porter”), top winning bichon frise, 2004.

One of the best strengths of our dogs is their temperament. In May of 2005, we had the honor of being recognized by the Bichon Frise Club of America (BFCA) as Breeder of the top winning bichon frise for 2004, BIS/BISS Ch. PaRay’s Propaganda ROM, (“Porter”). We were also recognized for Dam of the Year. In 2003, we had the honor of being recognized by the BFCA as Breeders of the Year for finishing 14 champions in 2002. We tied for Sire of the Year award, and won the Dam of the Year award. Nearly 50 PaRay bichons have become champions in the past 7 years.

The Dogs In Review magazine of November, 2009 has photos and an article about us and our top-winning bichons frises. We are excited about contiuing our Bichon breeding and continuing to develop our Sheltie program. We both judge sweepstakes and futurities and may consider judging careers down the road. We are also involved in breed education in the U.S. and abroad.

Bichons bring so much joy to all of our lives, have an incredible love of life, and make you feel loved. It is our life’s goal to be great breeders. PaRay has over 50 years of cumulative experience in purebred dogs.
